Mission Sets the Standard
Food safety must be a priority for everyone in the food industry it’s our firm belief at Mission and it shows in the actions we take. Recent occurrences of food-borne illness have been far too common and all are preventable with the proper procedures and cooperation between the players in the supply chain.
Within the produce industry Mission is a strong advocate for improving food safety initiatives. Our commitment vows to use all our available resources to provide a quality product, free of contaminants, safe and delicious for consumers.
A Very Effective Plan
We take food safety very seriously, and accordingly we have invested the time and resources to make it a reality. We have a full Quality Assurance and Food Safety team that continually monitors every phase of our operation. Our written food safety plan lays out our strategy, procedures and the people responsible for implementation. Most importantly, we have eyes watching at all times spotting potential problems before they happen.
We use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) guidelines put forth by the federal government on employee hygiene, facility sanitation and the prevention of contamination every day. And it is not just the QA team that participates. Every Mission employee receives training in food safety and adds their own eyes to our vigilance. |
