Mission’s Logistics Network:
From the Tree to the Customer

A prime link in Mission’s logistics network is our trucking operation. In all key United States markets, we have a significant trucking presence to ensure timely delivery and proper maintenance of the cold chain. The service that Mission provides is an all inclusive transportation capability from the tree to the customer. From straight load replenishment of our Forward Distribution Centers to regional LTL service to our retail, wholesale and foodservice customers, Mission ensures reliability and the specific requirements for our products. With multiple deliveries on a weekly basis to ensure just-in-time service, Mission trucks are GPS equipped for constant contact and precise location.

Mission uses modern and safe equipment to move avocados from our growers and ports to our Ripe Centers and directly to our customers. By controlling the entire journey from the field to the customer, we ensure the shortest supply chain under the most optimum temperatures and conditions in delivering the freshest and highest quality products.

Mission’s new tandem trailers for harvesting season are equipped with modern safety standards and include piggyback forklifts.

The fully-staffed Mission Transportation Department is located in Oxnard, California, and works in close conjunction with Mission Sales and all seven Mission Forward Distribution Centers.
